Meet Lawrence Bell
As a Baltimore-based businessman, Lawrence Bell has made it a point to devote his professional life to serving the community.
Public speaker and author Mr. Bell is always looking for new ways to inspire and empower people in Baltimore and throughout the world. The National Black Anti-Defamation League is one of many projects of his. There are countless additional organizations in the arts, education, law, and more that Mr. Bell is involved with.
Over the course of his 12-year tenure on the Baltimore City Council, Lawrence served as President for the last four years of his term. The Baltimore Magazine named him “Baltimore’s Best City Councilman” for his community work and leadership.
For many years, Mr. Bell served as a political analyst and fill-in presenter for “Powerpoint,” the first nationally syndicated African-American public affairs show on National Public Radio.
